This is the release screen from the app. Drop a master on it, see what Sewpress reads and measures, then press every format.

Pick up a master file and drop it on the press.
Both are the example trouser: three sizes, shared grainlines and notches, a 100 mm test square. One has a catch.

Every format, laid out from one drawing
The master is placed once and never redrawn, so every format matches to the stitch. Switch formats, hide sizes, pull the pages apart.
- Pages to print
- 17
- 4 rows × 5 columns; 3 blank pages left out
- Overlap
- 10 mm
- Chalk diamonds on every shared edge, and a tile ID in the corner.
- Test square
- 100.00 mm
- Measured in this file by two PDF engines.
The pattern is done. The files take another day.
Sewpress does all three of these in about a minute, for every release.

Illustrator tiles or keeps layers
Never both. Every release means rebuilding A4, Letter, A0 and projector files by hand, size by size.

Scale mistakes become support emails
One file exported at 72 instead of 96 ppi, or printed with Fit to page, and a customer cuts a whole garment at the wrong size.

Projector files are now expected
Sewists ask for them, and they need heavier lines, layers and calibration marks that print files don't have.
Most scale mistakes happen in the print dialog
Sewpress files tell the viewer to print at actual size, so customers don't have to remember. Try it both ways.
96.2 mm
Every tile about 4% small. Across a trouser leg that's about 4 cm, and nobody notices until it's cut.
And before you ever see a file, its test square is measured from the vectors and from a 600 dpi render:
| File | Vector | Printed |
|---|---|---|
| A4 tiles | 100.00 mm | 100.03 mm |
| A0 sheet | 100.00 mm | 99.99 mm |
| Projector | 100.00 mm | 100.01 mm |
Two PDF engines, two methods: the vector geometry, and a 600 dpi render. A file more than 0.1 mm out doesn't ship.

Before you press
What do I need?
Your master pattern as a layered Illustrator or Inkscape SVG, or a layered PDF: one layer per size, plus shared layers like grainlines, and a 100 mm test square. Other layer names are fine; you map them on screen.
Which formats do I get?
Tiled A4 and US Letter for home printing, ISO A0 and 36 × 48 in (Arch E) for copyshops, a projector file, previews and a zip. Leave out any you don't sell.
How do you check the scale?
Every output is re-opened and its test square measured twice: from the vector geometry, and from a 600 dpi render by a second PDF engine. More than 0.1 mm out and the file doesn't ship.
Will my customers' layer panels work?
Each size is its own PDF layer in every file, so sewists hide sizes in Acrobat Reader, the Pattern Projector app or any viewer with a layers panel.
Who can see my unreleased pattern?
Only you. The master file is read by our build software and deleted 24 hours after upload unless you choose to keep it longer.
What does it cost?
One release a month is free, with a small “Layout by Sewpress” line. After that a credit is $15 a release, or Studio is $29 a month for four.
